Funny anecdote about GPU revisions: Apple's firmware identifies them as 1=A0, 2=A1, 3=B0, 4=B1, 5=C0, 6=C1. I thought that was silly (what if there's a B2??), so for my UAPI I used 0x00 for A0, 0x01 for A1, 0x11 for B1, 0x20 for C0, and so on.

Then when I later found the hardware register that actually identifies the GPU, it turned out to use exactly my scheme!

I guess I think more like an Apple hardware engineer than a firmware engineer ^^

There has been a lot of buzz around the Nabu PC from Canada recently. Being that I had never heard of it before, I wasn't particularly interested. Then I saw some chatter about being able to image the disks, but they couldn't be written back to disk successfully. So of course being the masochist I am, this suddenly became very interesting to me. So I poked @MrGoodBits who was seemingly in the middle of the Nabu investigation and that had access to working disks, a Nabu, and an Applesauce.

I adopted Tennessee a year ago, when he was 13. His first 3 years were in a hoarding household, but he got rescued by Homeless Cat Network & adopted by a volunteer there. When she got too sick to care for him, she returned him to HCN where I found him. This photo was the one HCN posted. I wanted an older cat; we're a good match.

He was named (not by me) for the old cartoon Tennessee Tuxedo. #CatsOfMastodon
