I went to clean my Let's Encrypt certificates because I let some domains expire awhile ago. I ran certbot to generate new certificates without the expired domains and I noticed a bunch of web traffic flood in suddenly because I happened to be tailing my web server log in another terminal window that was visible behind the current one.
And this is how I learned that all certificates issued by Let's Encrypt are publicly logged and bots monitor the logs for changes and immediately probe the sites.
