@Drew_Lab It's a walk-out freezer. We have them in Ottawa today, too.
I thought it was an art installation, "The Committee has reviewed the Camel and issued a Revised Proposal" RT @GeorgeTheGorilla: Renovation of our Africa Gallery is in full swing this month. This is what the space looked like after all the old displays were removed.
Except for the elephant in the room, of course, which in this case is a giraffe!
Now the room is being redecorated and prepared for a brand new gallery scheduled for 2023.

There are few soil organisms more wonderful than Pseudoscorpions, it's always a joy to find one when I'm out with my camera!
This stout little murder machine is a compost chernes (Pselaphochernes scorpioides), found on decaying leaves in an open compost heap.

Hi! I'm sure Mastodon isn't the place to do this - but I'm really proud of this so I'm sharing (and maybe it might help folks looking for unusual #christmas presents...)
From January, the #Natural History Museum in London is going to be offering six week online short courses taught by #Museum experts. And the first two courses are on the #evolution of life and the exploration of the solar system (incl. #artemis etc). The lectures are really cool.
