There are few soil organisms more wonderful than Pseudoscorpions, it's always a joy to find one when I'm out with my camera!

This stout little murder machine is a compost chernes (Pselaphochernes scorpioides), found on decaying leaves in an open compost heap.

Hi! I'm sure Mastodon isn't the place to do this - but I'm really proud of this so I'm sharing (and maybe it might help folks looking for unusual #christmas presents...)

From January, the #Natural History Museum in London is going to be offering six week online short courses taught by #Museum experts. And the first two courses are on the #evolution of life and the exploration of the solar system (incl. #artemis etc). The lectures are really cool.

Off for a walk on a sunny morning. These soccer fields are quieter (and colder) than others this week.

Reason number 487 why retirement doesn't suck: Today I learned what a "mouse jiggler" is. Apparently not as cruel to rodents as I thought it might be.

Another rat swimming over from the sinking ship. I am retired person who takes on my walks, enjoying even more now that it's not a 9-5 job.
