Please stop cross-posting your twitter feed to Mastodon. If cross-post but never engage with your Mastodon followers, you're treating this as a syndication platform rather than a community. It comes off arrogant, and it clutters the timeline.

Great puzzle for Mastodon brains

Having now been on #Mastodon for 1 month, a few observations:

- Mastodon makes me realize how much the #Twitter algorithm maximized user outrage to boost engagement for profit. Gross. Here, my feed is interesting & supportive.

- There's a culture of kindness - at least so far. It's extremely appealing & should be normalized on & offline.

- Beyond reactions to toots, people share songs, poetry & ask great questions. I can't remember the last time I found social media to be fun.

På det seneste har flere politikere i Vesten har opfordret Zelenskyj til at være mere imødekommende over for tanken om fredsforhandlinger i #Ukraine. Det har jeg undret mig over. Det er svært se et reelt grundlag for forhandlinger lige nu, så hvad er egentlig motivet for at fremstå forhandlingsvillig? Det har jeg skrevet et indlæg om i Ræson. Y’all, if you’re getting frustrated you’re not seeing the content you want to like news or intel you need on Mastodon, you really need to shift your thinking from algorithmic social media. Follower counts don’t matter much here. Likes do not matter to post reach. Without your interaction, you will just see a live FIFO firehose. Some quick fixes:

Hashtag your posts liberally and consistently, and follow key hashtags of interest to you. Hashtags matter a ton here to being seen.

Follow and also alert on accounts you always want to see content from.

Consider using the built in RSS feature for your feeds and for specific hashtags.

Consider switching to the more advanced UI in your preferences, so you can watch multiple filtered and unfiltered feeds. Or a different mobile app.

Use Fedifinder to follow all the accounts you followed on Twitter, and sync up your follow and block lists.

Avail yourself of the multiple public lists of hundreds of journalist accounts on Mastodon.

Så fik jeg læst betænkningen vedrørende Folketingsvalget den 1. november.

Så er der en del klager over at der ligger røde kuglepenne i stemmeboksene.

I to tilfælde forsøgte politiet at beslaglægge brevstemmer.
