Wisst ihr was ich mit am aller beschissensten an unserer Lage finde?

Das wir nicht im Ansatz über so drastische Maßnahmen auch nur nachzudenken bräuchten, wenn die Regierungen seit dem ersten IPCC Bericht 1990 einfach peu à peu und konsequent auf Klimaneutralität hingearbeitet hätten. Das sind immerhin jetzt 33 Jahre, in der wir einen fließenden Übergang gehabt hätten. Und rein theoretisch wissen wir ja schon viel viel länger was Sache ist und hätten entsprechend handeln können, wenn es politisch ernst genommen worden wäre.

Aber nö, selbst heute wo wir bereits krasse Konseqeunzen selbst hier im gemäßigten Norden zu spüren bekommen weigert sich die Politik die notwendigen Maßnahmen zu ergreifen.

Alles was ich bisher an Maßnahmen umgesetzt sehe sind Schritte, die vor 3 Jahrzehnten ein guter Anfang gewesen wären.

Die These, was der Verkehrsektor nicht leistet gleichen dann die anderen aus, ist abwegig.
Erstens reichen die Ziele des Klimaschutzgesetzes nicht für einen 1.5-Grad-Pfad, wir müssen mehr tun wo immer es geht.
Zweitens müssen alle Sektoren auf Nullemission, so schnell es geht.

You can tell when an argument hits home by the number of trolls it brings out on social media. When I recommended Thom Hartmann's article linked below two days ago, posting excerpts from it, a number of trolls immediately came out of the woodwork.

Hartmann's argument is essentially one that anyone who takes what happened with Nazi Germany and the Holocaust seriously doesn't dismiss lightly: It can happen here.
