Actually had a real world need to use 5.25" floppy disc today... first time in 2023. Needed a screen grab from an 6502 program, didn't have it on MMC / SD card so easier to load off original 80track disc.

I forgot an #introduction! BBC Micro bot runs your posts on an 8-bit computer emulator.

People create small programs for it in BBC BASIC, a language created by Sophie Wilson in 1981 for the BBC Micro. (She later used BBC BASIC to create the ARM architecture - now the most widely used CPU architecture in the world.)

It's amazing what people create in a few lines of code for a 1980s home computer! You can see 1000s of examples at bbcmicrobot.com
