ANTONIO CABEZAS Venezolano, nacido en Ponferrada, León, España en1951, egresado de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas “Cristóbal Rojas” de Caracas en Arte Puro 1965-1970. Pintor, dibujante, escenógrafo, serigrafista, museógrafo, diseñador
grafico.
Ha participado en diferentes Salones como el Arturo Michelena (XXXIII, XXXV, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XL) Salón de Jóvenes Artistas (VI, VIII) Salón Nacional de Dibujo Nuevo. Las Bienales de Dibujo y grafica, El Salón Carpentier. El Salón Nacional de Artes Plásticas. El Salón Aragua (VII,XI,XIV, XVI).La Bienal Nacional de Dibujo, así como en innumerables exposiciones colectivas e individuales.
Ha realizado ilustraciones para “Estría” Diario El Imparcial,
”Papel Literario” Diario El Nacional, “Contenido” Diario El Periodiquito. Para las revistas ”En Ancas”, “Génesis”, Umbra”, ”El Toro Constelado” entre otras. Murales “Los Convidados de la Luz” edificio Antaño Unión El Limón Maracay, “La Corte de los Milagros” Teatro Ateneo de Maracay, “Dédalo (conjuntamente con Emilio Agra) edf. Antaño85 Maracay.
Profesor de diseño escenografico en la Escuela de Arte Dramático de Maracay. Director del Museo de Arte de Maracay.
Durante más de 25 años se desempeño como profesor de dibujo y pintura en la Universidad Central de Venezuela, Facultades de Agronomía y Ciencias Veterinarias Campus Maracay y hasta el 2006 Coordino el Área de Extensión del Departamento de Cultura de esa casa de estudios.
En el 2010 y hasta el 2013 fue Director del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Maracay Mario Abreu.
