Any chooms got some 3D printing advice?
I have a bedslinger (Sovol SV06 ACE, PLA), and any lower profile prints have been perfect, but I wanted to try this cool paper-holding rat to print for my son, and I have tried 3 times and it comes loose from the bed near the top of the print. Of course then it just air prints.
Things I have tried:
Cleaning the bed with 96% ethanol (I do that before each print anyway)
Using hairspray on the bed
Increasing the first layer thickness
Adjusting the z-offset for more squish
Adding a skirt of 8mm
Checking all the temp settings: bed 60C, first layer 210C print temp 200C (as specified on the PLA spool)
I'm using orcaslicer, I think the one thing that's left to try is reducing the print speed, but I hoped that wouldn't be needed...Maybe there is a way to slow the print as you get further up? Or maybe because I'm such a n00b I missed something obvbious

I'm currently rebuilding my website. It's amazing what you can do with #Publii. It's still my favourite static website generator.
I started with one of my projects, the #NeXT #SoundBox mini. I tweaked the #CSS and custom #JavaScript. I think I can use that as a basis for the rest of the website.

LAYERED.workOf note, I wasn't familiar with heatset inserts and how they worked. Thankfully a quick watch of a video on #YouTube got me pointed in the right direction. I'm also quite thankful I already own a soldering iron! Hopefully I did this correctly!
I started putting the first "module" together. The heatset inserts have been installed into the case along with the #RaspberryPi. Tomorrow I'll work on soldering the pin header to the OLED display and connecting it to the Pi. If I have time I'll work on putting together the other "modules" as well!
Would anyone be willing to help me find or print a replacement battery door for my weather band radio clock?
It's a Radio Shack 12-519.
Apparently I'm the only one on earth to have or have ever had one of these.
#PhotoOfTheDay is a collage of "process, still much left to do..." photos of my workbench with a 3D print of a Star Wars heavy blaster rifle I am making for my Mandalorian outfit. It's been relentlessly "progressing, with still much to do" stage for a couple of weeks now and will stay that way for at least another week I suspect.

I am looking for a #London based #makerspace that has experience with #PLA recycling/upcycling. My temporary storage is filling up. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Good morning, Radians!
I was playing D&D last night, but in the middle of it, the #3DPrint of a yarn bowl that I was doing for my daughter failed. I was about 9 hours into the 17 hour print and I heard it make a weird grinding noise, then shifted so that it was printing as though the X axis was shifted to the side. I am going to have to do some searches to see if this could be a firmware issue, because that seems like a software issue.
@FreeCAD I have updated the model so that it is a bit more solid.
However, it might not print as well, depending on the printer.
Wow! This is the most beautiful #Cyberdeck I've ever seen.
Trying to learn to draw the human head. Created this #3DPrint model to aid in proportions and work with a live object. Ended up with a hybrid of C-3PO and #DoctorDoom.
Heute ist #Neumond, sagt mein mechanischer #Mondrechner "Meton". Und der muss es wissen.

@FreeCAD I made my own toothpaste tube squeezer.
My current #3DPrint project is a multi-plate collection of machine parts in various orientations, some requiring no supports, some requiring flat support, and some with tree supports.
Flat support works great. Parts come off, scrape or sand off the interface fibers that stuck, and it's good.
Tree supports... not quite there yet. Where the tree supports meet the part, the part looks rotten, like the supports are corrosive. Speed and spacing probably can't be the same as for flat.
Slate suggests I #3dprint some flair for my (possible) truck. It's probably a pretty good mapping of target market. Though of course some of us favor #functional3dprinting
I'm sure there will be plenty of that as well, adapters for phones, Bluetooth speakers, and such.
