68.4 million Filipinos votes in the country's midterm elections where 12 senate seats and other local positions will be decided.

The polls are believed to be a referendum of Marcos Jr's performance since he took office in 2022, especially because the alliance between Marcos and his then-running mate Sara Duterte has been broken.

Filipinos, for the Nth time...

Bisaya is not a dialect.

Cebuano is a language
Bisaya is a language
Tagalog is a language
Ilokano is a language
Hiligaynon is a language (Ilonggo refers to the people)

But, Batangenyo is a dialect of Tagalog. Boholano and Bisaya are dialects of Cebuano.

When someone from Davao (Bisaya) speaks to someone from Cebu (Cebuano), they will still understand each other. Why? Because they speak the same LANGUAGE.

Took a glance over at #Japan #Reddit to find a thread full of western #expats and #tourists complaining about #Chinese tourists. Thinly disguised racism.

In my experience, 90% of the bad behavior I see in Japan is not Chinese or other #Asian tourists, but westerners.
