Wildflowers in a meadow at Mount Rainier National Park.
The prominent species are magenta paintbrush and dwarf (I think?) lupine. I see American bistort and western anemone in there. I'm not sure what the yellow ones are.
I think this would make a wonderfully challenging jigsaw puzzle!
The wonder of these puffballs usually eludes photographic capture but I think I did ok here
1) Made healthy choices.
2) Reconnected.
3) Stayed creative.
Practising peace.

One of the few happy memories of my mother's garden was a wall of sweet peas. I grew up being the laborer that kept her garden humming and food on the table. In all fairness my parents were raised knowing that if they didn't work to generate food they would go hungry. They raised me the same way.
I learned to hunt, fish and grow my own food. Surf fishing and hanging on to my dad's leg to keep the tide from washing me away is my earliest memory. I also gained gardening skills that have served me well.
I grew a wall of sweet peas for my kids when they were growing up, but didn't make them responsible for putting food on the table. Times had changed and I was a gentler parent.
This year for the first time in probably forty years I planted a wall of sweet peas.
This is the first blossom and the fragrance is just like I remembered.
Now I am old.
A full circle.

These always make me smile. MANY years ago, my wife bought a small packet of Lilly bulbs from a school fund-raiser. It was back when the PTA would have kids go door-to-door selling stuff to support school activities. I bunged them in the ground next to the day lillies and let them do their thing. We are now treated to a large display of these each July. I have no idea what the variety is, but it does not lessen the enjoyment.

Damn it's hot.
Traveled from #FederalWayWA over to Pasco this past weekend for a family visit. We went from 80 up to 100 degrees (f) during the ~200-mile drive. Every 10 miles picked up another degree.
Glad to be home again where things are green and where the temperature can still be expressed with 2 digits.
Found a new flower (I think an #Antennaria?) on today's walk. Also throwing in a random #onion from my yard. Cheers friends.
Oregano — not just tasty on your plate, also very pretty growing wild or in your garden #Bloomscrolling
