The QLD government confirmed the 2023 Olympic Games venues, which includes that new 63k-seat stadium in the middle of Barrambin / Victoria park.

Bruce Abernethy says:

"Barrambin has been a meeting place for peoples from across Southeast Queensland for tens of thousands of years; providing a new reason to gather there would continue that cultural tradition."

The publicity videos for the #Brisbane #VictoriaPark #Stadium are so slick and so many people seem so well-briefed with details, it's almost as if the whole thing was a fait accompli before the "review", in fact it's almost as if the whole thing was fait accompli before the #QldPol election.

A giant, wonderful park will become nothing more than the setting for a stadium, and a privatised formerly-public space whenever convenience requires.

Because god forbid inner city #Brisbane be allowed to have a nice park, that's JUST a green space. Now private sector developers will eat the entire thing (they're being very quiet about the residential development all the plans featured previously), it'll have constant events (to make it pay its way for the developers), closures to public access because of events, constant noise.

Disaster.

I haven't played this PS4 in a long time and I feel like it might be time to say goodbye. If anyone can offer it a good home around #Brisbane North Side or willing to pay postage then let me know. I could drop it around if close enough to us in Everton Park.

The controllers have seen slightly better days and it seems to need to be stood up on its side or the optical drive plays up a bit, but it still all works (just tested it out). BYO HDMI cable.

Anyway if someone on here would really get good use out of it and would love to play through the games then I'd rather it go to them than a random on Facebook Marketplace or something. Let me know.
