# Hadachek v. Oregon Intact Global 2025 Press Conference
Please let me know if you find more news coverage on this. We at the Genital Autonomy Collective spoke about intersectionality at the Intact Global 2025 press conference and hopefully some of the news will also mention that. The Hadacheck v. Oregon case will expand opportunities for trans, intersex, and gender diverse people in ways that more people need to be aware of. Circumcision impacts gender affirming surgery options, and impacts our freedom as well, and we're fighting with the broader genital autonomy movement for our shared rights.
An excerpt from my speech:
"Genital cutting is often talked about in the categories of male, female, and intersex, but those categories are not distinct in reality. People inherently defy those arbitrary boundaries. Because of this, many of the children assigned male at birth and subjected to penile circumcision, or other childhood genital cutting, are transgender, intersex, and otherwise gender-diverse
... Circumcision, by removing genital tissue and creating scars, physically limits options for adults seeking genital surgery. This stands in the way of our freedom to make the choice for ourselves as adults just like it does for boys and men. We are working with the intactivist movement for our shared freedom." https://www.youtube.com/live/S4-Cva6dVu4?si=uO4-J9OzUMfypDZD&t=5127
With attention and advocacy opportunities the challenge is bringing, The Genital Autonomy Collective is in need of more volunteers to help. Please message me if you're interested in supporting intersectional genital autonomy for all children in Oregon. While we welcome help of all kinds, we specifically need help with: Graphic design, web design, contacts with press, fundraising, social media management, writing, non profit experience, academic research opportunities, tabling events, etc.
Intact Global is also looking for Intersex plaintiffs who have experienced Intersex related genital cutting in Oregon at any date to add to the Equal Protection Challenge against forced, non-religious genital mutilation. As well as trans plaintiffs who have experienced penile circumcision in Oregon to add to the legal challenge.
Please email me at Allie@autonomycollective.org if you'd like to come forward as a plaintiff or are interested in volunteering. If you're in need of support on violated genital autonomy or would like to help advocate you can join a group at our website: https://autonomycollective.org/groups.html

For decades, I ate Grape Nuts for breakfast. #Eggs were off limits due to #HighCholesterol. When I discovered I had #ElevatedGlucose, I had to cut carbs. No Grape Nuts in 6 months now!
I easily eat 18 eggs a weeks!! And my cholesterol is the best it's ever been! I’m gobsmacked. It's like my glucose issues (though barely scratching the surface) were affecting my cholesterol. And my glucose is too under control.
But the insurance no longer wants to pay for the #CGM (#ContinuousGlucoseMonitor) which is the tool that has allowed me to get my blood in such perfect condition - overall BEST TESTS in about 30 years. They don't want to pay because I'm not diabetic. At least not technically. Though I've never done an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test.
However, certain foods I must avoid completely or my glucose spikes and start going like a roller coaster. And they haven't told me what that is. To me, it sounds like, you know… diabetes…
But the A1C test is now normal (was pre-diabetic). But it's normal because the CGM shows me when I don't eat the right things/quantities/combinations. And it's allowing me to learn. Could it be that I am beginning to be diabetic but able to manage it because of the sensor?
And the endocrinologist I had gone to see has quit. Not that she was that useful. So checking again with my doctor
"Innovations in Continuous Glucose Monitoring" website topic
This website has a wealth of information on continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps, mined from information in patents. Some of the information is free and other parts are paywalled. The information has been edited into plainer English making it easier for someone who is not a patent attorney to understand.
I have started a new weekly newsletter that will be a bibliography of new research articles on the use of CGM data to improve outcomes for diabetics. The bibliography is compiled by a machine learning program developed by Thomas Kirchel, to which I provide manual abstract relevance feedback.
Hat da schon jemand was herausgefunden.
Danke! Gerne retrööt.

HackadayAfter all, Abbot IS being paid for this product, whether by me or my insurer is irrelevant. So, we pay but then they take MORE???!?
This isn't Twitter, where I can live perfectly fine without using it, or I can choose to use their service in exchange for #dataveillance and #DataMining.
Abbot is pursuing supremely NOT cool corporate overreach, IMO.

I've poked around via #SearchEngine but have found nothing useful re any non-#Abbot branded readers, so I am starting to wonder if such a thing doesn't even exist.

I know a reader *exists* for this model of #CGM sensor, as I have an elder who uses the same brand/model.
The pharmacy says they can try to order one in a few days (but it was unclear if "try" meant they expect to be successful or not).

Well, good news. After the previous #CGM sensor (the one that absolutely refused to talk to my phone) expired, this new one happily connected and is sending data.

I have ended my experiment using a Dexcom Stelo alongside a Libre 3 Plus. I have learned all that I think I care to learn.
The Stelo is removed and no longer contributing to annoyingly inaccurate data.
It lasted longer than 10 days without getting noisy, which was one of the big things I wanted to learn. This means G7 shouldn’t be a big problem. This is important as I will be switching to the G7 when I get my Mobi pump.

Running 2 different CGMs and sending the data from both to my Nightscout is confusing my watch. They don’t exactly match (but are very close) but my watch has trouble figuring out the delta.
