Preview video: New e-mail client "AMail"

A fortnight ago Ryan 'bluewizard' Stapleton had already presented his project in a first video: "AMail" is to be a modern e-mail client for AmigaOS 3.2 that supports IMAP and SMTP. The second video now published shows how the client communicates with its local IMAP server and sends emails via SMTP.

Does a typical laptop #client on #Ubuntu #linux allow both wired #LAN connection to one #router / #network & #wifi to another different network #ssid / network? Use case:
1) wifi to receive only a web #gui , of a program running on a #Raspberrypi, served by the #RaspberryPi running a wifi #hotspot , over http://IP:8000 (IP stands for its #ip address and where Pi has no #WAN access at all and wants none nor needs any)
2) the wired LAN connection would be for normal internet traffic via #WAN

Кажется, я нашёл внезапно относительно вменяемый и даже почти нативный клиент для Mastodon-совместимых инстансов.

У него, к сожалению, есть фатальный недостаток: он на GTK4.

Тем не менее, попытаюсь им пользоваться дальше, т.к. от него не возникает ощущения безысходности, которое возникает при взгляде на другие клиенты типа всяких Fedistar, TheDesk и подобных.

Называется Tuba: https://tuba.geopjr.dev

Из плюсов - адаптивная вёрстка. Из минусов - хоть и может сидеть в фоне и получать обновления - не рисует иконку в трее - как минимум у меня в Plasma.

Работает как минимум в Linux и Windows.

How should I use @phanpy ?
I am a "chronological reader"
I want to start on my last read item and than go to the newest one, so I don't miss anything.
But #phanpy pops to the newest message every time I open it.
Is it possible to change this behaviour?
I think the solution from the official mastodon app ist quiet good. It has the options to "load new above" or "load new behind" depending from which direction I scrolled.

Seems to be in the same position every time, but not on every post.

Edit: force stop and restart, and it's gone.

Can anyone suggest an #email #client that supports automatically applying filters to folders other than the inbox?

Examples of what I'm looking for are deleting mails matching a certain filter, even if they are in an IMAP folder other than Inbox, moving old mails to a local folder, etc.

Turns out, @thunderbird does not (yet?) support this.
