Raspberry Jam with Girl again today. Her BFF is going today too, which is nice. Boy is back to league football followed by a laser tag party at the same time, but I’m best suited for the RJ run. #dadops
@User47@vmst.ioFollowing up on this old toot. We ended up getting a G4 Instant and adding it to our Ubiquiti system. I’m powering it with a USB power bank and unplugging when not needed. It has two-way audio and I’m more inclined to trust Unifi than some rando baby monitor that is unlikely to get regular security updates.
Bonus: I like that the camera has other uses for when a monitor isn’t needed. Like spying on the dogs, or chickens.
Watched Kubo and the Two Strings with the boys. The end credits feature Regina Spektor's amazing cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. They couldn't name the song but both recognized the riff so I am claiming partial credit #DadOps

Had a quiet afternoon today. So I went through five of our family’s bikes, cleaned and lubed the chains, and made a few small repairs here and there. One kid got a new saddle.
I tried to get the boys to go shoot hoops at the local school playground. by the time i got them out the door it started pissing down rain. So now they're doing their best in the covered area while I sit in the car and cough up a lung (thanks, pneumonia). #DadOps
#KEXP keeping me company though -- Gorillaz, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and Bette Davis holding it down.
We played Wyrmspan this morning; it is almost but not quite Wingspan, with a very satisfying resource engine mechanic. I might like it more? The birb theme is better tho. #boardgames

I bought an archery backstop curtain and steel frame so my son can practice without punching holes in the garage door. Naturally the carabineers that came with the curtain don't fit on the frame, and also the curtain is about 8" wider. So I had to rig up a solution using zip ties which would make it harder to stow this thing if I had anywhere to store it but I don't so whatever.
I also had to rig up a harness for the target bale to secure it to the stand such that it won't tip over. a couple of ratchet cables did the trick, but there is the slight problem that if he puts a few arrows through the straps they'll probably snap. I told him to git gud.

I usually leave it up to the boys to decide what kind of vibe they want. FDV is a terrible film but I know they will dig the tropey shaw bros. nonsense. I wonder what they'll pick?
