Our last post showed the largest letters in the upcoming 10 × 10 for 10 exhibition. This item contains the smallest letters—by far. Micrography (or microcalligraphy) is the art of creating images using tiny writing. This kind of calligram has a long religious history based on the devout observation of the second commandment against images.

Tweets about urban biking in #Dutch cities are routinely replied to with some version of “well, they have the big advantage of being relatively flat.” The Dutch also have the big advantage of not constantly making excuses and straw man arguments about why they can’t make clearly smarter decisions.

It's a map of the tiny proportion of people that are actively trying to learn a new language.

And it's aspirational -- people are learning the language of the places they want to long-term visit or live. So those Nordic people want to go somewhere *warm*.

The #Netherlands certainly teaches English well -- 90% of the #Dutch are fluent. I suspect that if you could see language #2 it would also be Spanish.
