#facecam

A tech question:

I have bought a fancy #Elgato #Facecam , and while its "Camera Hub" software has some basic functionality for camera angle and so forth, it wants me to install #NVIDIA Broadcast if I want to use a custom background for the picture.

Now I want to know... how dodgy is NVIDIA Broadcast as a software? I am leery of installing anything that might end up little more than disguised data mining and whatnot.

Ich sag mal so: war ne Erfahrung - Kann noch nicht einordnen, ob gut oder schlecht. Aber mit #Facecam fand ichs nu nicht so berauschend... die Idee #PNGTuber ist noch nicht vom Tisch :D

metal vs plastic wins. i am surprised but i shouldn’t be: there is no flexcable to worry about, so the exploded render is more accurate than expected. it’s just that piece of plastic for the led. #elgato #facecam
