Guten Morgen,
heute etwas früher als sonst, da ich doch hinausgegangen bin, um die Pfirsichblüte zu retten.
Ob es etwas genützt hat, wird sich zeigen.
Den Traubenhyazinthen (Muscari) wird der leichte Frost auf jeden Fall nichts anhaben (z.Z. sind es –1 °C).

Kommt gut durch den Tag.

Monster in a Teacup
Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy a spot of tea now and again. Little monsters have been know to slip quietly into kitchens when no one is around and sneak a sip of two of freshly brewed sweetness. Alas, some of these tiny creatures may become so enamored with the tea, that they sip themselves silly and fall into a state of euphoria, causing all manner of behavior.

Put these seeds in the ground last Fall. Not sure much is going to come of them this year as they are perennials and may need a few growing seasons to mature. But I like the looks of this seedling. Anybody wanna guess what it is?

Fothergilla ’Mt. Airy’ blooming away in my Mom’s garden! #Flowers #BloomScrolling

The image shows a flowering shrub with numerous fluffy white blooms that resemble bottlebrushes or small pom-poms. The flowers are densely clustered along the branches, and each bloom appears to be made up of many fine, elongated stamens. The leaves are small, oval-shaped, and light green. The plant is growing in a mulched garden bed with a backdrop of various green shrubs and trees. This plant appears to be a Fothergilla, possibly Fothergilla major or Fothergilla gardenii, commonly known as witch alder. These shrubs are appreciated for their showy spring flowers and vibrant fall foliage. Let me know if you’d like care tips or more info on this plant!
