Why I like UK and EUR ham radio youtube channels over US channels
US channels: "Look at the thing I bought!" OR "I made this. You need $750 in tooling and $500 in material to make your own."
UK/EUR channels: "I repurposed this cheap stuff. All you need are basic tools to do it yourself. It works better than anything you can buy."
Is anyone else having an issue logging into CORES? I'm getting the following when trying to check on a few things before my test this weekend.

Just made my 1st FT8 QSO with the FTDX101 and my M3 MBA, which is meant to be my home shack setup, as opposed to the FT891/MBP which will be my portable/mobile setup... I am pleased. And the contact was on 10m to Australia, which seemed like a minor miracle with today's band conditions! #hamradio

I have the day off from work today, so I slept in to help recover from really poor sleep the previous few nights, and now I'm happily working on some projects: replacing RPi USB and HDMI cables with shorter/thinner ones, getting my FTXD101 set up for FT8, moving my FT-891 & MBP off of my desk (good timing as the band conditions are le suck today), etc. In other words, happily relaxing.

I've added a contest plugin for UK/EI DX, I've tested this one a-lot which guarantees you that something is probably wrong with it, I just don't know what it is.
10m is sounding extra crunchy again today. "Why am I hearing wind noise?" :) In fact it's sounding like MUF is conveniently somewhere between 18 and 21 MHz.
I'll be on the Air as W7O, on 40 meters ssb in just a few minutes, for the NARS Polio on the Air Special Event Station, celebrating 70 years of the Salk Polio vaccine.
The band looks to be pretty quiet, but we'll see who can hear me and what type of activity I can drum up

Forgot to mention: business-specific use of radios often requires business-specific licenses. Rules vary by country, so always check and follow your local regulations. Don't assume HAM covers commercial use—it usually doesn't!
