Vor einigen Tagen war ich auf einer kleinen lokalen öffentlichen "Retro-LAN"-Party nördlich von Hamburg. Das hat großen Spaß gemacht. Ich habe für die Veranstalter ein kleines Video gebastelt, dass ich gern einmal mir euch teilen möchte.

@deivudesu That service would be great. I don’t think we will see it on search engine sites but you can block search engine sites from showing those results using other apps.

On my home #LAN network, I blacklist sites in my #PiHole #DNS server that I never want to encounter. Works great and protects me on every device that makes DNS queries (even smart switches). On my #iOS devices, I also use the apps #Privacy Protector and #Silentium which do the same thing when I’m only on cell service. Google used to offer the option to blacklist, but that’s ancient history.

I wonder, is there a cable modem with an SFP+ port available on the market yet?

Does anyone have a clue as to why three Ubiquiti AP AC-Pro would start behaving erratically at the same time?

The firmware is up to date, all of the other (Ubiquiti) equipment in the network is up to date. No issues with wired connections.

(All three AP:s are on PoE, and the switches powering them are nowhere near max load.)

I have never seen Ubiquiti equipment behaving this way, and I've been using it for quite some time.

The latest #LM_Studio beta supports optional auto-unloading of #LLM #AI models using both a new #TTL setting and when switching models by #API. This is very handy for Apple Silicon where unified memory can be allocated to the #GPU but clients switching large models led to memory exhaustion unless you manually unloaded at the command line each time.

If you use LM Studio’s #LAN API feature, turn on the app’s beta update channel to try it out. Works well for me so far!

" I have a strange block using my home ISP connection for #Nomad network. Virgin Hub 3.0 is blocking Reticulum data. Enable #DMZ to laptop and it works fine. Disable DMZ again and it still works ! Disable #firewall and it stops working ! Very weird. Connection via phone #hotspot works all the time... Any ideas as to what the problem could be ? "

@danielramfer En este caso son cámaras compatibles con #Homekit por lo que aunque les cortes el acceso a internet a través de su app y sus servidores, puedes acceder a ella a través de la pasarela de #Homekit. En este caso el vídeo se cifra. Al final es una cuestión de confianza y en mi caso la deposito en #Apple. Aún así si quieres acceder de otra forma, tal y como comenta @DavidOliMar usando @tailscale como #VPN puedes estar en su red #LAN fácilmente

Is there an RFC which defines purposes for specific class D subnets within 192.168.0.0/16? For example, what if there were predefined subnets for wired LAN and Wifi? Or LAN local vs. Intranet wide address ranges?
