Anyone tried an hdmi industrial camera on a lever-arm stand with a suitable lens as an #ElectronicMagnifier - and the image displayed on a suitable tv / monitor?

I can see everything I want on aliexpress - except for the lens.

Which lens is going to let me view around a A4 / foolscap area?

Most of these setups are being used as microscopes with lenses giving around 150X magnification. Far too much for reading a book.

Laowa cracks me up! They just made a 100mm tilt-shift macro. I absolutely do not have the budget for this, but it's such a hilarious and interesting combo, you could get up to all kinds of hijinks with this. Whatta buncha goofs!

This is a handy little instruction video for cleaning the engravings on old lenses (and other stuff as well I suppose). I didn't know about 50/50 Isopropyl Alcholol/Distilled Water and the electric toothbrush tip is priceless.

Wonding if a lens is needed at all.
Might a #PinHoleCamera design work?

The mouse-camera has lights built in already. So maybe enough light coming through the pinhole?
And a pin hole would be easy to make and test.

To test a pinhole design I'd need to remove the current lens. And that would be necessary anyway if I have to change the lens.

And a pinhole won't have me struggling with Aliexpress search and descriptions for lenses.

Ich hab's getan! 🫣 Ich nutze an der #SonyAlpha #A7RV zunächst nur noch #Zeiss #Batis #Objektive. Bin gespannt, wie sie den Mood der Fotos, VOR Bearbeitung mit Presets, Stilen etc., ändern. Da ist ja die Rede von satteren Farben, Zeiss-Look oder 3D-Pop... Zudem sind allesamt deutlich leichter als die vergleichbaren G- oder GM-Linsen von #Sony.
