I have an old #MacMini from circa 2010, but I can't think of anything to do with it.

It doesn't have any USB3 ports and only one Ethernet port, so I can't use it as a router. Its DVD drive doesn't work (probably just dusty, but I don't know how to open it up and clean it), so I can't use it as a DVD player.

What do people do with old #Mac Minis these days?

Is it perhaps possible to run modern macOS in an emulator on it?

#Mac nerds: When you have an Open dialog visible, you can normally drag a file from the Finder *onto* the Open dialog (in another app) and the dialog should "navigate" to where that file lives and select it.

You knew that, because you’re a #pro!

In some apps, though, that same maneuver results in Finder actually *moving* the file to whatever directory is shown in the Open dialog — not “navigating" the dialog *to* the file and selecting it.

What gives??? This drives me crazy. How can I make the behavior consistent across all apps?

6 Displays is the limit on a 68k mac unless you start adding display adapters on SCSI. This is a Quadra 950 with 5 video cars and the the onboard video driving a desktop that is over 4400 pixel wide.

Fellow Mac users! Does anyone know if you can connect a Thunderbolt 4 laptop dock to a Mac Mini (M4), and get the same results as connecting the dock to a MacBook?

My chief desire is to get video on 2 monitors. I'd like to be able to do it through the dock if possible.

The Mac Mini has Thunderbolt 4 ports, rated for 2 displays each - hopefully the Mac Mini's ports work this way?
