I'm fascinated how people remember, (or forget) built spaces over decades. I wonder if this is related to neurotype? Is it something else? Is there *any* literature about this?

Liposomes loaded with the tolerogenic adjuvants all‐trans retinoic acid (RA) and vitamin D3 (VD3) are injected into the skin and selectively induce CD14+ dermal DC migration and CD1a dim DC migration. Migrated DCs from RA or VD3 liposome-injected skin differentiate into FoxP3+ CD127 low and ICOS+ Tregs.

This is one of the most interesting things I've read in a long time.

The TLDR is, a woman was diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent 20 years living with that diagnosis and with life-altering symptoms. Then she needed chemotherapy and her "schizophrenia" … just went away.

I really do have a hell of a combination to ensure my head hurts a lot.

1. I have #tourettes which comorbid comes with #migraine like headaches that are caused by suppression of #tics if I do it too much, essentially my nervous system overloading.

2. Constant neck/shoulder strain from dystonic tics that make me subconsciously tense my shoulders.

3. #visualsnowsyndrome which has actual migraines as an extremely common comorbid condition.

Where's my ibuprofen...

Cognitive impairment is common in MS. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) combined with adaptive cognitive training (aCT) may improve clinical outcomes. Participants with MS and fatigue were randomized to complete 30 remotely supervised 20-minute sessions of active (2.0 mA) or sham tDCS targeting the left anodal dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, paired with aCT. The Brief International...

Put this logorrhea on billboards: “When Israel gave that up [the Gaza Strip], whoever was the prime minister at the time, who I know, who it was, but it was not exactly a very clever thing to do. Because that was given so that they finally have peace, but it’s actually made the situation worse. But we’ll see what happens. I think Iran is acting up. We have a lot of people acting, we have Venezuela acting up in a different way."

Learning and re-learning about neural development today.

We covered this a little bit in our introductory physiology course, but really we barely scratched the surface. And we have no dedicated human anatomy courses in bioscience either, which means that it's very confusing learning about neural development when you don't even solidly know the different parts of the brain so you can put them into context. Trying to rectify that lack of anatomical knowledge right now.

Study looked at relationship between adherence to Mediterranean diet and quality of life in MS patients. Mediterranean diet was associated with EDSS, CPH and CMH independent of progression. Daily milk and oilseed consumption was also associated with CMH.

I really hoped that the negative effects of #lead exposure, socially, are mostly behind us... but it looks like #GenX is actually hit hard by the side-effects of lead exposure, and it's not going their #neurology any favors.
(And if you want to get a bit more depressed about this not going away, look up a paper by Mark R. Salazar about heavy metals in E-Cigarettes)

Today is a cozy blanket and Conan trilogy type of day. Woke up at 2:30, couldn't sleep till 5:45, haven't felt great all day. Most days last week were 4-6hrs/night. The often pattern, still no long term solution.

Possibly will watch Young Frankenstein afterwards, or some Studio Ghibli. It's not a Princess Bride kind of feeling sick, not a cold. Feels like neurotransmitter imbalance in the anterior frontal lobe, right at BA10 zone (throbbing, but not yet a migraine).

> The frontal lobe contains most of the dopaminergic neurons in the cerebral cortex. The dopaminergic pathways are associated with reward, attention, short-term memory tasks, planning, and motivation.

I blame an interaction between Bromocriptine (dopamine agonist, tells the brain to create more dopamine) and Prazosin - a non-selective inverse agonist of the α1-adrenergic receptors (which I take for PTSD). Timing for those two are very important, as they are not synergistic.

Sleeping off and on has been very welcome. 💖

How you say something is often more important than what you say. And even more so as you age. @ScienceAlert explains how early signs of Alzheimer’s disease may be hidden in the way a person speaks.
