Господа- товарищи, не покупайте дешёвые удлинители и сетевые фильтры. А если уж жаба душит и есть необходимость купить именно недорогой- перед использованием - разберите и оцените безопасность поделия.

Было:
Симпатичный сетевой фильтр, четыре розетки под евро вилки, с виду все хорошо, контакты заземления есть, вилки втыкаются хорошо, есть даже простенькая зарядка ватт на 10. УСБ а и УСБ с. После нескольких месяцев использования во время стирки пошел дым )) кнопка выключения не сработала, пропала фиксация. После разборки я охуел, я прям сидел пару минут, смотрел в одну точку и молчал.
1. Кнопка питания разрывает один провод (может оказаться, что у вас при выключенном фильтре фаза будет на контактах и всей технике) Собственно она и сгорела, скорее всего либо брак либо полнейшее говно.
2. Отсутствуют полностью какие либо компоненты по фильтрации. Нет вообще ничего.
3. Контакты заземления в розетках- муляж. Кроме того вилка евро, все норм, провод на первый взгляд тоже норм, 3 жилы. Но эти пидарасы сделали трехжильный провод сука с пустой жилой. Изоляция есть, а внутри хуюшки, хуи. Без земли если например на стиралке окажется потенциал на корпусе- автомат УЗО не сработает, пока вы его не схватите.
4. Весь монтаж выполнен слепым одноруким пьяным человеком. Эта хуита просто пожароопасна.

Стало:
Я решил что надо доработать этот, ТК мне понравился внешне, в нем норм блок розеток, и потом купишь новый- а там такое же говно.
1. Заменён кабель на нормальный трехжильный. На блоке розеток, распаял заземление теперь все гуд с землёй.
2. Весь монтаж выполнен заново, нормальным проводом. Кроме того намотал синфазный дроссель и поставил два х конденсатора. Базовая фильтрация теперь есть.
3. Установлена нормальная кнопка на 16а с разрывом обоих проводов
Фоток не делал, вернее только одну, да и та не особо информативна.

Well, I thought I could use some TPLink #PowerLine adapters, the PGW2440s, to improve the wifi in my office, but with ping >160ms and speeds less than 12Kbps (when I can actually get a connection), it seems my electrical lines are too noisy for anything but a standalone #wifi range extender or a super long ethernet cable. I appreciate solid walls here in #Germany... but it plays hell with #wireless_networks and #HomeNetworking in general.

Технология передачи данных через электропроводку (Powerline Communication, PLC) — не самый стандартный способ организации домашней сети. Но это спасает, когда нельзя проложить сетевой кабель или при слабом сигнале Wi-Fi. По сути, организовать Powerline-сеть можно везде, где есть розетки. Но без нюансов, конечно, не обходится. First toot from my new #HomeOffice internet connection. It is a bit wild west, but it is kinda OK-ish enough for me to work with it for now...

Turns out, the cable socket in my new apartment's office (the former renter's bedroom) isn't connected, so the cable modem has to share the socket with the TV in the living room. I'm using an ancient (analogue TV era) Y-connector, but it seems to be meh-good-enough. To get the network from the living room to the office, I am using #PowerLine adapters...

In our new place I don’t have the luxury of being right next to the router and connecting directly to it via ethernet so I wanted to see if I could team up teh powerline connection via ethernet with the WiFi connection and, at least for incoming traffic, Fedora seems to team the two interfaces automatically and I’m seeing a considerable increase in bandwidth.

(It does only seem to use the ethernet connection for outgoing packets.)

@selea I use the #powerline network adapters. They're not the fastest but do the job. I use them for some of my #nvr cameras and they work well.

OK #Linux, how does one reset terminal / prompt / shell settings to a clean default? Apparently my prompt has been broken for years & I had no idea.

I am told that I have "overridden the system prompt integration", yet I haven't done anything special other than installing #powerline as per https://fedoramagazine.org/add-power-terminal-powerline/ ; I've now undone that.

I deleted ~/.bashrc, ~/.bash_profile, and anything I could find mentioning bash, no dice.

What other config files exist?
