In the past whenever I heard my mom, or anyone, say "ohhhh that meal was so big, ill be full all day, maybe into tomorrow"... I always rolled my eyes and just thought "You enjoy sleeping in that bed of lies".... But now that im on #Ozempic / #Semiglutide I can relate. I woke up today and had a huge hoagie for breakfast. But Now, 12 hours later, I dont even feel hungry. Hell some of it is still in my stomach i think (i taste it on my burps)... soooo weird.
The nice thing is i can eat a cheat meal now and it fills me for so long it isnt even really a cheat meal at all. Like yea it was too many calories for one meal, but over a whole day it was still on the low side.
As some of you know ive been on #Ozempic / #Wegovy / #Semiglutide once daily instead of the usual weekly.
I created a log of my historic blood accumulation when i was on once weekly and now that im on a daily adjusted dose. The blue lines show total amount in my blood, red i dicates equivelant weekly dose based on daily dose x7 and yellow is based on expected blood concentration.
As you can see the daily dosing produces much more constant levels. This is based on the typocal 7 day half life.
16 lbs down since started #Ozempic / #Semiglutide
I also started on TRT 3 days ago which seems to have jump started the weight loss again resulting in 2 more lbs lost since then.
Looks like I might also have hypothyroidism, waiting for the second test on that one.
Day three of dosing ozempic daily instead of weekly... Feeling much better about this so far.
Just for fun I decided to do the math to calculate the amount of Ozempic/semiglutide in my system based on the usualy dosing of every 7 days (in red), versus dosing every single day (at 1/7th) the dose (in green).
The two colors represent the upper and lower limit (it will at the upper limit right after a dose and at the lower limit right before a dose).
Notice that dosing every day makes for a much more stable concentration. Note this assumes a 1 mg dose (y-axis) and the x-axis is in days. I will start dosing every day tomorrow.
For those curious I also attached the equation that I calculated (derived) for the half-life. Both in its continuous form and as the summation.
The math around pharmakinetics of Ozempic/semiglutide (and many drugs in fact) is fun from a mathematics standpoint and not too hard to understand.
Basically it has a 7 day half life, so they dose it every 7 days. So each week the amount in your blood right after an injection is : 1, 1.5,1.75.... approaching 2. Which means after about a month you reach max dose and it naturally levels off. The curve is basically logarithmic if you did the math though.
Its a nice little intro to finite infinite series, a fun topic IMO.
For those who are curious, I started Ozempic / Semiglutide at the beginning of January, Ive lost 10 lbs since the start of it, 14 lbs since it "kicked in". Attached are two charts, one of my weight since starting taking it, the other my weight as measured since January 2017, just to add some perspective.
Just took my 2nd dose of Ozempic (2nd week)... here we go....
#Ozempic / #Semiglutide is a bit of an odd expiernce for me. I figure this is how normal people feel now... very alien compared to my normal relationship with hunger and cravings.
It’s incredibly significant that the #wegovy #semiglutide 5-year long term trial found a 20% reduction in serious cardiovascular risks, AND THAT “risk reduction… occurred early, before big changes in weight”. https://www.statnews.com/2023/11/11/heart-attack-stroke-obesity-wegovy-novo-nordisk-select/
It’s yet another confirmation that the “weight alone causes health problems” medical orthodoxy was always #fatphobia, body shaming, and purity moralization rather than good science or good medicine.
I want to thank the staff at Farmacia La Mas Baratas located in the New City Medical Building in Tijuana. The manager Jorge Resendez gave me his Whatsapp number and answered all my product questions about what #Semiglutide product to purchase since all the pharmacies are out of #Victoza. Mas Baratas does not have online ordering. So Jorge told me I could send him the payment for my product via Western Union & he would have it waiting for me at the store.
