We were at a flea market last weekend. There was a vendor there selling jewelry and silly little signs and magnets.

I saw one sign in particular, burst out laughing and told Husband, "We need to get that for you!"

The sign said, "I was taught to #Think before I act. Therefore, if I suddenly slap you upside the head, know that I thought about it and I'm pretty happy with my decision."

I have just read an online thread that made me #think .Why do #girls grow so often into #women with an embedded "You can't do that!" switch? I understand the principles of #protection, of caring for someone in the way of doing things for them. But why for example not #teaching girls and women everyday handywork stuff? It is an empowering for #strength, for #independence, for #selfconsciousness . Who is afraid of that?
