Well...decided to do another 38 mile day today just for the heck of it...ran out of energy halfway through the third ride but it was still okay...I did get to the library for more books and now I'm having my second cup of coffee and thinking of taking the new chair out to the beach...the water is still way too cold to swim but I could take a book and do some reading in the sunshine...there wasn't anyone on the beach when I rode through so I'll have my pick of spots...good morning!

1) My favorite breakfast, fried potatoes and onions with Camp Mix "Spud Fixin'" (campmix.com/products/spud-fixi), with spouse.
2) The weather is gorgeous today, sunny and mild, and it's a pleasant temperature in the house too.
3) The city just hauled away all the yard waste I put out, and local entropy on our patio has been reversed for the time being.

Good morning. I feel like I'm stuck in groundhog day. It's another drizzly, foggy day, fitting for a Monday.

I've already been out to take my daughter to work after she dropped her car off to the shop. Now I can sit with my second cup of coffee and then start putting things in order.

Friday we head up to celebrate my mother's 98th birthday. I'm working backwards in my head from there to organize what has to be accomplished + when this week.

I hope your day is more exciting.

Good day to you all!

I hope that today brings each of you the peace and contentment that you deserve. Even if it’s just for a few moments.

Let’s remember #today to be the kind of person that we want to encounter in the world. The kind of person that not only tries to make the world better, but also their little corner of it.

Be the example that you seek.

And have a great day too!

I did it! I completed my 65-mile (100 km) bike ride AND reached my fundraising goal!

Thank you to all who contributed. You can read about the day and see lots of pictures from the 6 hours and 10 minutes I spent on my bike Saturday in today's blog post.

Nothing nearly as exciting planned #Today. The saltwater conversion guys are supposed to come this morning, although they aren't here yet. My wife and daughters look forward to not worrying about chlorine messing with their hair. And I look forward to not messing with chemicals for the pool. So it is a win-win. I cleaned off some outdoor chairs yesterday and hope to get them repainted today. My wife is taking the week off and will be underfoot while I work from home. Always a fun time.

Good morning and TZAG, friends.

The weather remains gray and rainy this morning. #today

My sole meeting, a department all hands, was canceled so we all can focus on remaining work before a code freeze at the end of the month.

My current tasks are blocked so I'll be working with my team to get some other work tested and merged.

Good morning!

Or morning, anyway. It's another cool, humid, gray morning with rain on the way. I went out for my walk and again had to spend some time avoiding the geese who insist on standing on the path while the former goslings, not-quite-adult geese feed on either side of it.

But if the geese were out, so were the deer and the rabbits, and the birds were singing and the walk helped my mental health even as it worsened the pain in my back. They say eventually walking will help my back. I don't believe them.

And it's Bloomsday! Re-Joyce, my friends!

Good day!

Signs?

This is Montana. We don’t need any stinking signs.

We just slap a number on a tree in the middle of the wilderness. If you don’t see it? Too bad!

You’re lucky we don’t slap a bloody handprint on the bark & call it good.

You want directions? Ask a freaking bear.

🤨😆🤣

Be everwell.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

I need some breakfast and I can smell the coffee brewing. Sunrise in about half an hour.

I'm enjoying the quiet. Peaceful after a pleasant day of rest yesterday.

Medical checkup later this morning. Routine. Some labs.

I'm feeling singularly unambitious this morning. Lots of things I would like to have done but little drive to actually do them.

My kayak will likely drift a little longer.

May your drift be peaceful #today

Had a walk in the sun under a cloudless sky

Two of my grandchildren accompanied me to a performance in the evening.

We watched 16 regional youth choirs from schools in the region perform in the Dunedin town Hall (this venue will also host the national youth choir competition at the end of August)

A thoroughly pleasant day.

Today I:

- Completed the New York Times' Connections in four guesses, getting the purple row first. That is always a satisfying start to the day.
- Wore my Hungarian leather gloves again and they felt lovely and warm. Such a simple pleasure but very satisfying nonetheless.
- Spent an hour with a colleague discussing Power Queries in Excel. A very nerdy thing to do but great to have someone to share and learn new tips and techniques.

I'm having mixed feelings about this week already, and I'm still in bed on Monday morning.

It begins with this morning when Kasa, our daughter, is arriving. She's here because I've got to be dragged, kicking and probably screaming, to a family birthday meal in 'celebration' of my birthday tomorrow. I will maybe wax lyrical later on my exponentially increasing hate of my birthdays as I get older.
I will grin manically, and it'll be nice to have most of the family together, but I won't be ecstatic.

Wednesday will be a treat of a trip out on Sacha's birthday - there will be a big reveal on here on Wednesday. (She knows about it).

(Yes, our birthdays are a day - and a year - apart)

At some time this week - hopefully - we get to collect Sacha's replacement #motability car, so that's exciting.

So - here we go !

1. Two of my favs made it on the podium for today's F1 race

2. Made some slow progress on the shirt I am sewing for myself. It won't be my finest work, but it'll be alright!

3. Got a commission for a corset piece for someone's LARP costume. They're getting me the fabric by the weekend.

#today I let our home WiFi lapse. Everyone uses Smart Axiata on their phones and I have basically unlimited service for $6 a month. I can hotspot my laptop easily when I want. Real thing is most people just use a phone here. All the things I need are on my iPhone. Thank goodness for the Working Copy app so I can post to my 11ty blog on the go. IA writer a joy no matter where.

Now it’s coffee at the beautiful Spring Coffee. Random thoughts engage so I write. Nothing needs doing so I do that. I think I’m set for the blog until I’m not. I like how this is now. It’s free. Nice price.

Back to coffee. Someone messaging me on WhatsApp about coffee. I will have to consider that. It’s Wednesday when they want to meet. That’s light years from now.

Have a good day or night or whatever.
