Was out shopping in Tooting today and witnessed the tragic sight of some old white woman with her shopping trolley, being drunk and belligerent to the first brown person she met after staggering out of the pub, children gathered round to mock her for her shame.

Whilst strolling around Tooting market today, we passed a couple have a meal at one of the lovely little boutique street food stalls, the meal arrived and She asked straight for the bill.
We could only guess at what He said or did, but the date was over!

The other day on #Tooting Common #pond, two nearly #mature 'ugly ducklings', had nearly turned into swans. They were however unwilling to guzzle some #seeded #wholemeal bread. We surmised that they had been feasting on left over #Christmas cake and were a little full. It was the afternoon, #cold enough for #seagulls to #walk on thin ice and attack the #mandarin #duck ... if he attempted to eat bread thrown his way. His smaller drab brown consort had to run for cover, unfed ...

We did see a #heron, who prefer a quiet pond. Heron are keen on fish cake (no ... think I dreamed that) #crustaceans, #carp and other #real #fish ...

There I was after #meditation and a quick #instant coffee, going for a #walk in the #dark. However I live in the former '#Brighter Borough' of #London. Our side #street #LCD street #lighting is 30% #brighter than the rest of London. So it shines.

I managed to #head into the darker #parts of #Tooting #Common, where the #path lights are non existent. We have a bit of #moonshine for the #ducks to quack at. I #adjusted to the darkness by #staring into the darkest parts I could #find [#lobster top tip for #developing cats #eyes]
