Оказалось, что старые версии Windows испытывают некоторые затруднения в парсинге строк и эмодзиками. Ну или это я что-то не так делаю, либо хочу не того. Короче, мне надо было взять строку в UTF-8 и заэкранировать ей в HTML кодах. Всякие CharNextW() давали мне не то, что нужно, а то и вообще ничего не давали. Поэтому пришлось открыть доки и написать собственный парсер UTF-8 строки =_= И он даже заработал. #программы #Windows

This summer I need to either transition a ~15 year old #Windows machine to #Linux or pay for a year of extended Windows 10 support. It currently runs the last version of iSpy to be released (a NVR software) as its primary duty and also has some music that gets played occasionally. While I remotely manage the machine, my parents use it locally to play music and to look at the video camera feeds.

It also uploads stills from the cameras every 2 mins to a remote server.

Idk I mean if you thought #Muse taking over #Audacity wasn't going to lead to anything negative and you've only run the #Linux version maybe take a look at this updated screen from the #Windows version and lmk what you think

Now, TBF, I'm running the Windows version in Wine for a reason. The Windows version has a LOT more effects and is compatible with Windows VSTs, which there are a lot more of than Linux VSTs or other effects that I've found to be compatible with Audacity (or more commonly incompatible).

But also fuck #AI, fuck the #cloud. I don't want that shit shoved in my face.

I wish Tenacity had gained traction as a soft fork so we could get the good and strip out this shit
