In the grand (google photos) Chronicles 2024, destiny weaves around four cherished feline souls whose legacies shimmer in the sacred scrolls of time. First is Badger, the loyal tuxedo guardian, with 77 moments captured. His sleek black and white fur radiates against the vibrant backdrop of his realm, a testament to steadfast devotion. Next is Mr Kitty, whose gentle black and white markings grace fifty-seven moments that cherish his serene spirit. Though he departed just shy of 17, his memory lingers on, almost as heavily felt as the loss of Millie. A poem dedicated to him will be published next month, ensuring his essence remains timeless. Rīx, the mysterious black kitten, features in fifty-five moments whispering secrets, blending seamlessly into shadows. Finally, Boudica, the enchanting Tonkinese queen, fills the final scroll. Her 53 moments weave a lively tapestry of curiosity, playful encounters with her favourite puzzle-sphere, and violet companion. These beloved cats have been my saviour, guiding me back from suicide with comforting purrs. Boudica’s resilience, triumphing over illness last year, reflects the indomitable spirit of our feline friends, joined by Badger and Rīx. Their 242 moments highlight our unbreakable bond—a harmonious blend of love, loss, and devotion. They are the light leading me into 2025; their well-being is my priority. On this holiday that highlights my sense of isolation and struggles with cPTSD and AuDHD, their presence brings me solace.
