"cishet" should be "cis het" or "cis/het" because it's two words. People concatenate way too many things in English, especially in American English.
Also a million others: "someday", "hashtag", "cannot", et al.
@wabiwalden@mastodon.social@teacherbuknoy I have a #hypothesis that back then there was no distinction between #ng and #nang in #Tagalog. Ng was just an #abbreviation of nang to save on ink and space on precious paper. I came up with this idea from noticing that old texts put a #tilde on the ng similar to how old #Spanish texts put a tilde on q to mean que. There were also tildes on mga but sometimes they spelled mga as manga without the tilde. #history #Philippines #Filipino #linguistics
