Listening to the latest ATP members episode about Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Something I rarely do, but Star Trek IV is my favourite Star Trek film.
Fellow #ATPfm listeners (or hosts), I seek your help!
A friend has shown interest in listening to an episode, so I need an absolute banger to recommend. I’m tempted by Windows of Siracusa County, but I worry it’s so old that it won’t feel relevant and hip.
Is there a recent episode you’d recommend as a starting point? Should I send my friend into the back catalogue? Please advise.
@marcoarment @atpfm @siracusa is something getting printed in the background of the last #atpfm episode podcast? Sounds like inkjet printer. Dot matrix printer will be louder and noise will be continuous.
@siracusa if I buy a TV now, will I be missing out on some new technology coming in the next year or so, like new types of LEDs or something, or should I follow the same rules as buying a new computer when it comes to features? I keep hearing you talk about LED and micro LED and quantum dots on #ATPfm. Current TV is meh, it works, but was a 2017 Black Friday special and want to get something better.
@siracusa @atpfm @caseyliss mildly amused/surprised that @marcoarment isn't wearing a #atpfm t-shirt.
Repost: I finally got around to increasing my @atpfm monthly subscription.
After asking for so long if it was possible.
Three nerds discussing tech, Apple, programming, and…
atp.fmI’ve made the holy ATP pilgrimage to Bleecker Street. You guys, Casey is right: it’s phenomenal. (I’m so sorry I’ve just made you hungry and I can’t share.) #nomnom #newyork #pizza #atpfm //cc @caseyliss @marcoarment @siracusa @atpfm
@caseyliss @siracusa @marcoarment listening to the latest #atpfm and it seems that Casey has been infected by the Apple “no fun colors” disease :-)
@dimillian @IceCubesApp
Could this be of any interest to @marcoarment or @caseyliss ? Real cool and interesting write up on SwiftUI. I’m loving the @IceCubesApp so far (though I admittedly do miss the cutsie elephant branding the mastodon apps like Ivory etc have )
#SwiftUI #mastodon #atpfm
It took me a bit to find it in my photo library, but this was the Valentine’s Day Reservations phone number for the White Castle in Louisville, KY in 2013.
My favorite part is that they have at least 7 extensions.
Of course, this is for the benefit of @caseyliss , @marcoarment , and @siracusa
@birchtree great article! I’m curious what you think about the privacy concerns. The guys on #atpfm have discussed Rewind a few times, and it sounds like the devs already walked back their cloud transcription due to feedback about privacy. I’d love to have something like this, but I don’t think I’d trust the devs not to change their privacy policy in the future (when they inevitably take VC )
I’m so tired of tired old nerds shitting on new things that are still evolving. Case-in-point the #atpfm folks’s latest take on mastodon.
As a side note if you ever want to hear what group-think sounds like listen to these fools.
From Twitter
“Screen time lets me see websites my kids are on, which was interesting and led to some interesting conversations.”
“Part of being a kid is your parents get to know what you’re doing on your computer all the time.”
This episode of #atpfm is upsetting.
