I have long enjoyed talking with #boardgame publishers & designers about the development & production process, and the decisions therein. I love #boardgames. It’s a subject I enjoy knowing about.
Reading all the posts about the costs & complexities of game production in a time of massive tariffs have been extra revealing.
I still think the negative aspects far outweigh any supposed long term benefits.
So, get off your arse. Complain to your representatives. Make your voice heard. March!
@Dionysus@dice.campI feel that any company running a #TTRPG or #BoardGame crowdfunding campaign this year is really asking a lot from their fans and customers. There are a few I would easily support any other year, but the lack of economic stability and the threat of insane tariffs is really make me pause. 
Today we played "In the footsteps of Marie Curie". It is a lovely and fun #boardgame of resource management. It has a luck component implemented with a clever tower. I really recommend it, even being French

"Effective today, tabletop game publisher Greater Than Games has undergone a reduction in staff in response to ongoing economic pressures resulting from the international tariff crisis."

GalactiCamilleWe played our first 3p #game of #Harvest with our 9 yo tonight. Lindsey won (of course) by a few points. My 9 yo thought it was hard, which surprised me, because she has learned more complicated things. But I think that the planting/tending/harvest action was a little hard for her to grasp at first.

Check out what you get in this #Robotech #COIN game, a big game in a rather small box, with a reasonable price point to match.
I am 3 solo #games into the #Revive campaign. I know that I haven't "unlocked" every module yet, but my scores are varying wildly based on the tribe I've been. I hope that it evens out once everything is opened up. I wouldn't want multi player to be so dependent on which tribe someone one, or get pigeonholed into a single tribe while doing solo plays.
Any thoughts?

surf.social@Aethel Oh gotcha. I think I was thinking more "legacy" then campaign. I also posted this on solo #BoardGame subreddit and consensus there seems to be to add everything in and just skip campaign all together.
To any #Revive players:
I just got the game, mainly to play solo. Do you recommend jumping right into the campaign or should I play a solo game first to learn how it all works? I dont want to waste the first game of the campaign doing something wrong but the rulebook does say to jump right in. Thoughts?

Target Circle had BOGO half off deals on #BoardGames this week. I picked up #Harvest, which arrived today, and #Revive, scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
Time to try my first solo #game of the cozy looking Harvest!
What #BoardGames do you really like, but you just can't win at? Whether it be solo or multiplayer?
Mine is Wayfarers of the South Tigris. I've played it 12 times against the solo AI deck, and I have NEVER won a single time. I've tried all the decks too, and I suck against every single one.
Tonight, I thought I was doing so well. It was finally going to be my time! I had so many space cards and inspiration cards... lost by 10 points.
