A lot of this week's #pyrography has been on coasters and phone stands. Two "blank" ones at the back have a celtic design and our village name on them.

The #SWTOR Twi'lek is my own phone stand. I just re-burned the picture, so it's not as good as if I'd started again, but I'm the only one that sees it. My camera also made it look rougher than it appears in my hand.

The coaster is also one of mine re-burned, and re-coated.

My MIL has a craft shed that she opens during tourist season so I'm making a few speculative pieces to see if any sell. I am assuming nothing will sell, so that if anything does it's a bonus, rather than required. The phone stand at the front is a Twi'lek from Star Wars: The Old Republic. Next to that is a coaster ("under cup", sous-tasse) with a path leading from the front to between mountains in the distance. The caption is "There's always a way", which is also written in my fictional language.

Hey fediverse, I did a thing!

We've now got some lovely rain barrels.
these started their lives transporting tapioca syrup from India, and now have a new career in water conservation.

All it took was about $50 of supplies and 5 hours. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so we'll see how they do.

This quilt was made by my grandfather's grandmother. It's probably around 100 years old, give or take 25 years. Sadly I don't know when she made it or which grandmother it was, but I'm happy I've finally found a place to display it.
Due to its age, it's very worn and some parts are delicate, which is why it's not on a bed. I didn't have a place for it in my old apartment, but now I'm happy for it to brighten a wall of my craft room.

Out sick and away from the computer helped my #crocheting this week ....

Another #crochet #wip is now completed. A #gingham style #throw using the #griddle #stitch and carrying the three #colors of #yarn along.

Super easy stitch although this pattern does, slightly, show the yarn being carried. Great pattern to work on when binge watching TV.

I might add another row or two on the border. 🤔

Howdy #fiberarts and #crafting folks. I have a question about repairing a knitted item. I bought this knitted long cardigan a long time ago and after time, the collar is separating from the body of the garment because it used to hang up on the hook of a coat rack. What is the best way for me--a basic hand sewer who does not have access to my yarn stash or my knitting tools--to fix this?

Waddaya call this in English? When you k1 p1, then knit over purl and purl over knit? In Norwegian it's "pearl knitting" or "bead knitting", I'm guessing because the purls look a bit like little beads.
