When I was a kid we had road safety lessons and a cycling proficiency test. I’ve just seen an adult cyclist wearing headphones, riding with no hands, and texting on his mobile phone.
I’m not sure if he’ll end up in hospital or a circus…

I do wonder if the driver overtook and slammed on at the lights. Happened to me sooo often, a couple of times I did clip the back of their car, usually with them giving aggression in response.

My #motoring books from late 1950s/60s (often written by retired rally drivers who started out riding #bicycles) advise giving space to #cyclists as part of safe #driving and emphasise they are also road users, but also hint there was some tension developing between #drivers and cyclists, so its not anything new, but something that has been growing for over half a century.. #RoadSafety #UK
