The bitterness weirdly tingled the top of my tongue instead of the back of my tongue and throat. The flesh stuck to my teeth. It was weird. These durians actually didn’t smell so bad. The taste was… sensory-seeking for sure. I’m still trying to figure out the smells, flavours and after flavours I experienced. I had expected the texture to be similar to jackfruit and it was *not*. It’s like custard that has been left out for too long and has formed a skin, with a hint of fibres just to trip you up when you think you are safe.
