**Global warming may increase the burden of obstructive sleep apnea**
"_High ambient temperatures (99th vs. 25th; 27.3 vs. 6.4 °C) are associated with a ~ 45% increase in the probability of having OSA on a given night, globally. The increase in OSA prevalence in 2023 due to global warming was associated with a loss of 788,198 (489,226 to 1,087,170) healthy life years, and a productivity loss of ~105 million days from impaired workplace attendance in the 29 studied countries._"

Toilets of the WorldMy healthcare system just bumped a message to me telling me my status for all of my actionable gene-drug pairs. UCHealth asks for your permission to add an anonymous version of your medical records to their research system when you join. I said yes and apparently they sequenced my genome and passed that information on to me. I guess if I ever need a kidney transplant tey won't use tacrolimus as an anti-rejection medication because I'm apparently *3*3 for CYP3A5, good to know .
I wonder though how people who aren't #epidemiologists who work with #pharmacogenetic data, -omics and have publications showing how medication use patterns are independent risk factors for negative outcomes at the population level, how those people will interpret this personal information!

If you enjoy looking at bad data, or are interested in learning what is in the report and would rather read a review, take a look. I have been thoroughly enjoying it, as a data nerd.
