It may have moved, but Perseverance rover managed to abrade some of the targets weathered surface for further investigation. Watch closely, to see the movement of the shadows from the robotic arm, the rock, the sand grains, the drill mechanism, and the dust all moving around. Animation of 15 images taken about 1 minute apart, the duration was about 13 minutes on sol 1565 (July 15, 2025).
