Trust your team – you hired them for a reason

Last week I started onboarding into my new team at @openproject. It's such a cool feeling when you're asked what kind of hardware you prefer & you can choose whatever you want! It's a huge sign of trust.

I decided to go for the DIY edition of a @frameworkcomputer. #Framework supports the #RightToRepair movement. You can assemble your own laptop — a bit like an IKEA flat-pack — and if you need to upgrade or repair it later, you can do so at any time

Biggest hassle on switching to a @frameworkcomputer computer? It's moving all the #redbubble stickers across. It took me almost 3 months.

The assembly, setup and configuring, that's easy. Stickers on the other hand, not as simple.

New Kitten Release

• Improved Markdown parser

Kitten’s JavaScript tagged template strings (`kitten.html`) no longer fail to render as expected when interpolated values are used inside of Markdown where the Markdown render changes source order.

So, for example, the following will now work correctly, whereas, previously, the link source and link text would have been erroneously flipped:

</markdown>
`

To implement the fix, I’ve moved Markdown rendering outside of the main render loop and into a pre-render stage and implemented a simple Markdown render tree that non-recursively handles all Markdown region renders.

@publicvoit ich habe das Gefühl solche Ansätze werden in Zukunft beliebter werden. Natürlich wegen des ökologischen Fußabdrucks, aber auch weil dadurch die Verbindung zu dem Gerät enger wird. Man kann also leie auch Mal selber anlegen.
Und wenn es einen technisch versieteren Nutzer hat, dann kann schon mal was 3D gedrucktes oder eine neue Platine dazu kommen.

My @frameworkcomputer #framework 16 arrived last Tuesday, and made it a family event to put it together. Well I did the work, they watched lol. So far just under a week of owning it and I love it 1000X more than my XPS15

Did order another module, I don't like the ethernet one, it sticks out, so ordered an HDMI module, other than that Perfecto!

Fedora42 is what I went with for the OS

Finally got my @frameworkcomputer Laptop 16 today. Just a few tweaks to my NixOS setup and I'm good to go. Pretty happy with it so far.

Does anyone have any dock recommendations for the #Framework 13 laptop? I'd really like something with the form factor of the Pinebook Pro dock, which you can put your laptop on to improve airflow.

Hey! I've been creating a #game #engine #framework in #vala

Its ECS based, and its called Veggies (eat your veggies!).

My reasoning for this framework is to have a game framework alternative to #csharp. I'm not liking the encroachment #microsoft has over #gamedev and #indiedev

The video is the well known bunny mark demo. Renders up to 16000 bunnies before being under 30 fps. Still needs a lot of optimization.

I'm taking ideas from frameworks like #pygame, #pine, #FNA and #excaliburjs

estoy pensando en actualizar mi portatil. tengo un aorus 7 KB (i7 10750H 2.60 ghz; 32 gibs, rtx 2060M)

la grafica se me esta quedando obsoleta para los juegos mas recientes que tengo, y es lo que uso para jugar. e incluso sin jugar: me hace muuucho ruido, para lo poco que hace. lo limpie, polvo, cambio de pasta termica, y he ganado muy pocos grados. 5, los cuales no bastan para calmar los ventiladores.

tengo los ojos puestos en el framework 16. me mola mucho la filosofia de que sea 100% actualizable y reparable. y el soporte linux completo
