I'm starting to think that there is no sane way to use Google Drive as an enterprise.

It's way too easy to have files shared to the wrong user.

Just nuked the last #GSuite legacy free edition. #Google set deadline for February 15 for me to "activate it" (read: give my CC number). Good riddance.

I’d like to find an alternative to #Google #GSuite. I’m primarily interested in two things: privacy and longevity. I want to be sure that my data is safe (short of self-hosting it) and want to be sure the service will be here tomorrow. Ideally, the service would be a #cooperative or #nonprofit.

#Email is the most important part of Gsuite to me, but I also use it to host a simple “calling card” style website and use Google Docs and Google Drive quite frequently.

@thomasgriffiths @sqrt2 that very much depends, but in General, I'd recommend @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS on #Desktop and #Server and #OpenXchange or @nextcloud for any #Groupware as well as @libreoffice and/or @CollaboraOffice for Editing.


In the end it kinda dependa on the setup and individual / organizational demands:

For those looking for a replacement for #ChromeOS & #Gsuite or #Office365, #PorteusKiosk + #NextcloudHub is a good combo.

If my employer creates a Gmail account for me, are they able to read my mail, even if I change the password? I assume so...

I use #Google #gsuite for work items and #proton for my personal stuff because of privacy and market share concerns.

I got my domains moved over to #porkbun last night so now the final task is finding a #Gsuite / #Gmail alternative.

I originally thought Proton was the only contender, but I was mistaken. There are plenty of good options out there.

Has anyone successfully moved google workspace/gsuite to microsoft exchange? I'm having issues doing this and could use some help.

Das wäre wirklich wichtig, auch bei anderer #GAFAM-Shice wie #Office365 / #MicrosoftTeams [welches obendrein voller #Govware und #Spyware ist!], #GoogleMeet / #Gsuite & Co.

Gibt nen Grund warum ich mich dieser komplett verweigere und die Nutzung als "can't do & won't do" ablehne!
