#LINUX #HELP #DEBIAN .. what's the easiest way on a Debian linux to set the 'eth0' to a static IP ? .. I have the ethtool package and then net-tools pacakge installed .. basically I just want to give it a static IP, a subnet mask and a gateway/dns .. IPV4 .. so classic 192.168.0.xxx

Ma Kamvas pro 16 était officiellement prise en charge par Linux, j'ai vérifiée autant sur le site off que dans des forums et des threads... Seulement en vrai le pilote Linux ne prend pas en charge les raccourcis des boutons. J'ai tenté de les assigner avec un tuto mais ça ne marche pas non plus...

EDIT : ne m'envoyez pas le lien vers le site de David Revoy, j'y suis déjà allé et je n'y ai pas trouvé de solution !

i have had nationwide pet insurance for jasper since 7/2021 which was lucky since he developed a chronic illness after i covered him
but they just wrote me they will no longer offer the excellent policy he has and have a new much less generous one now in its place
but with his chronic condition (pathological feline reabsorption) doubtful another carrier would cover him.

Hey cryptographers,

this application is using the same symmetric secret to encrypt cookie values using AES-CBC: https://github.com/transloadit/uppy/issues/5705

This will eventually wear-out the secret.

I suggested deriving a different encryption key from the "secret" for every distinct document (i.e. a cookie value).

Would it be "safe" to derive the key using the IV as the "info" parameter in HKDF?

In "pseudocode", this would read like:

```
aes_key = hkdf(salt=[0]*32, ikm=secret, info=iv, length=32)
encrypt(aes_key, iv, plaintext)
```

The idea of using the IV is to not add anything new to the cookie value. My understanding is that the info parameter is not supposed to be confidential, but how secure is it if it is attacker controlled? I don't see any attacks, but I am no specialist either...

I have a small set of linux machines (~5) that are mostly sitting idle. How can I turn it into a modest #CoW (cluster of workstations) so that people can easily submit long-running jobs to it?

Jobs will be mostly written in #rstats and #python .

What's a good entry-level setup for this? Easy to maintain, easy to use, nothing fancy.

I haven't done anything like that for at least 10 years, I'm sure things have moved on since then.
