I know that in theoretical High-Energy #physics, people were timing their uploads to #Arxiv super precisely a few years ago to try to end up at the top of the #HepTh feed. (Not sure if Arxiv has since changed its procedure.)
Where I publish now, it seems less important because the volume of preprints in the feed is much lower.
