Toki Pona on Duolingo!

What is toki pona?
Toki Pona is a conlang with only 120 words. It has simple grammar, and is easy to learn. It is based on Taoist principles, and prefers simplicity over clarity. Today, it is the second most spoken conlang, under Esperanto, and with around the same number of speakers as Klingon.
--
Why should I learn it?
Without having to worry about bunches of new words to learn, you can concentrate on the grammar.
Languages can be tough to learn. Learning toki pona will give you the confidence necessary to finish that other language tree
Learning about “direct objects” and other grammar topics in a setting like toki pona can make it easier to understand in another language.
It’s relaxing to learn, and a fun challenge.
It’s easy enough that you’ll never burn out, but challenging enough to give your brain a workout!
It’s important to use your language in real life as soon as possible. With toki pona, you won’t feel nervous that you don’t know enough words of grammar to have a conversation. That confidence can carry over into other languages!
Only having a vocabulary of 120 words will help you see the world differently.
toki pona shares similarities with many other languages you may plan to study, giving you a jump start.
It uses the Latin script, meaning there will be no technical issues in the Incubator.
It’s design is rooted in the principles of Tao. How cool is that!?
Why on Duolingo?
Other conlangs are being made and taught on Duolingo. Esperanto has been one of the most popular additions to Duolingo. Toki Pona is one of the largest conlangs, and would fit right in.

I'm a fluid speaker of Toki Pona and would love to translate some of your projects into that wonderful language. Unfortunately, the language list doesn't include Toki Pona yet.
I'd be grateful!

Hello, fellow tokiponas,
I decided to make the process of learning Toki Pona even easier and funnier and prepared the visual "cards" that contain most of the words from the official dictionary.
I hope they will help you to memorize the words better!

Toki pona is a nice little, simplistic conlang I stumbled into like a month ago. Essentially, a Canadian linguist named Sonja Lang had created a simplistic, vague language with only 120 words, missing most of everyday vocabulary. I’ve studied it using Memrise and I can claim now to be able to speak it fluently.
It’s pretty awesome. You can express yourself and think simply with it and the full meaning of someone’s text is never revealed. You are forced to be simple when using it. I can imagine some cavemen speaking it among themselves. It has no tense or number and is so attached to present. There is, of course, a way to refer to past times but it’s not necessary. After all, it focuses on basic things in life. It’s not designed to complicated expression of yourself. It’s cool in one way: the reader will never know for sure what the writer meant
To offer an example of it, I translate the first paragraph. It’s not perfect and I changed the composition of language because toki pona can’t into my linguistic diversity:
toki pona li toki lili en pona. tenpo mun pini la mi sona e ni. pona la jan toki Sonja Lan tan ma Kanata li pali e toki pona kepeken nimi ala mute. insa ni li lon ala nimi mute pi ali. mi sona e toki pona kepeken ilo Memrise. tenpo ni la mi ken toki e ni: mi li pona e toki pona
Try to learn language and translate that, so you’ll get the idea!
