Cago ($17.99): cheapest of the three but for my palate, was the one that needed more seasoning (saltiness). But this was made up for by the chilli crisp, lime, & fresh herbs(!!!) that accompanied it. The other two just served up the bowl with nothing else on the side. I asked & was told that they grow their own herbs, so as we get into winter, I don't know if they'll be able to keep providing fresh herbs.

Vie ($19.5): punchiest flavours, but also the most expensive.

Hanoi Eatery ($18): the broth was the most integrated (more like a warm hug) which I really liked. The noodles were slightly thinner than those used by Vie.

I like Bún bò Huế nearly as much as pho, but they're much less commonly sold in Auckland. I thought I'd try a few of them:
Vie Cafe (Shortland St., CBD), Hanoi Eatery (Queens Court, CBD), Cago (Glendene).

All three were under $20 & bowls were generous portions (I did not walk away hungry). Quality-wise they were all good & there was not a huge amount separating them, so it'll come down to personal preference. #AucklandEats #kai #food 1/3
