Time for an #Introduction post. I’m a #liveaboard #sailor (www.svloka.com) and full time #nomad who is also a #creative #artist. I play #guitar, #crochet, paint (#watercolor & #acrylic), and draw #penandink. I love #yoga and use #meditation to manage my #anxiety. Got #sober in 2020.

I am a recovering #softwareengineer (#programmer) and #ITmanager. I focused a lot on #leadership & effective #communication, and I still enjoy #mentoring people on those topics. I still tinker with tech on occasion.

@PKYo Serious question. In this sort of weather, what do you do everyday. It is mighty cold to do much maintenance work. You are in the marina for a while. You will have presumably finished winter preparations. I have always wondered this, about living on a boat.

With an OK from the marina office, I moved the boat to another dock, next to —squeals— an electric outlet!!

I'll have a shoreline connected just as soon as I connect the male and female plugs to the 25m of cable I bought, get a thingie-I-don't-know-the-name-of, buy a prepaid card, and learn how to apply it.

So: just a few things left to do before I have electric heat.

It was frigid on my morning walk. I'm still cold .

Happy Wednesday! Today is the type of day I may get tired of being on the boat. It's rare. But with sustained 14kt winds and gusts near 30kts from the NW, I'm rocking a lot, even tied in the slip. Luckily, it's just for one day, and winds should calm tomorrow.

In between meetings, emails and laundry, decided to reorganize my aft deck. I'm trying to maximize space and leave easy access to things I may need underway. I feel like I could organize it 100xs and try something different each time . This should be a good configuration to test for a bit.

Tomorrow I'll see if I can get some time in on the fly bridge.
