Is it just me, or is #SocialMedia as a concept broken? I know this is not true for everyone, but for basically everyone I know IRL social media is at best a mild #distraction. It's a tool for #dissociation, like TV was.

Only on top of that, it promotes #anxiety and #envy because it enables constant comparison to impossible standards in any part of life.

And on top of that it enables #manipulation of societies and #politics through automated flooding and gaming of the recommendation algorithms.

A fair comment about the weakness of the speaker of the House of Commons even from Matthew Paris.

Hoyle has claimed to ‘speak truth to power’. As his treatment of the #SNP, Diane #Abbott and even Rosie #Duffield (although I disagree vehemently with her views) Has shown he is merely a lickspittle who should be removed from his position. It would also represent a significant saving in spurious expenses.
