Time to replace keycaps and a bit of a clean! Ew..such filth!
However in the future I don’t think I’ll be buying a keychron again. Nothing bad about it currently just lack of customer service and compatible keycap options for south facing leds ..
EDIT: For alt-text typed in on my new keycaps!

ComputerBaseI’m delighted with my setup of the Niri window manager. It’s quick, gives me unlimited space on each workspace, and I can exercise my #MechanicalKeyboard. If you’re interested how I set up Niri, systemd and Waybar, check out my dotfiles: https://gitlab.com/geewiz/dotfiles

ComputerBaseI've been thinking about getting a #mechanicalkeyboard and was looking at the Ajazz brand, I know they're cheap compared to some out there but I want to try something out before committing fully.
Does anyone have experience with these or have a good suggestion? Happy to go with wired if necessary and it'll be on macos if that makes a difference.
Yeah, I'm still around.
Finally, I managed to pick up all the parts for the keyboard:
A Skiller SGK50 S3 barebone, 4 boxes of Cherry MX Ergo Clear switches, and the keys I showed before. I decided to use the SNES key for the special key on the right.
I really like the result!
I haven’t even finished soldering and assembling my graph-theory designed no-diode partial Tutte-Coxeter graph TC36k #MechanicalKeyboard yet…
But it already has a spiritual #ErgonomicKeyboard successor in the flesh - the Gamma Omega ULP https://www.reddit.com/r/ErgoMechKeyboards/comments/1m412k6/gamma_omega_ulp/
Here the no-diode feature helps with the rather compact ultra low-profile (ULP) Cherry switches
girls only want one thing and it's disgusting
James Bastone at the #Dundee #Makerspace https://dundeemakerspace.com/ kindly gave me a soldering refresher “induction session” tonight. Practicing on my new #MechanicalKeyboard PCB - he did one hotswap socket as a demonstration, then I did nine (finished a strip of 10). One fell off, but that’s a quarter done!
I’ll need to get signed up as an official member and return to finish this off another time…
Playing with #MechanicalKeyboard Kailh choc v1 keycaps for my (as yet unsoldered) #ErgonomicKeyboard - the sculpted KLP Lamé (https://github.com/braindefender/KLP-Lame-Keycaps - here 3D printed in black resin) feel nice, but the flat MKB profile (here in purple) fit the case ascetic better I feel? They would also be better for portability (less fragile).
Can someone tell me what this symbol is supposed to mean? It was delivered with my new set of #keycaps.
I have plenty of Mac keyboards, but I always love getting #VintageApple themed keycap sets.
They're all fairly similar, but PBTfans '1984' has some unique #MacPaint inspired 'novelties' mods, which are so cool.
New shine-through keycaps for my mechanical keyboards.
My #MechanicalKeyboard PCB and case etc have arrived. Will hopefully be able to start soldering & assembly this week (got a couple of conference talks to wrap up first). JLCPLC seem to have done a grand job… although most of the 3D printed keycaps will need sprues removed & sanded down #ErgonomicKeyboard
