I included this graphic in my #Tutor #Mentor blog article, reflecting on April 1st, 2019. I originally created this graphic over 25 years ago to show my focus on helping kids living in high poverty areas. This version shows all kids need mentors and to counter PROJECT 2025 we need to start teaching critical thinking & active learning skills as early as age 2-3.

Since 1993 I've used GIS maps to focus attention & resources to help youth #tutor #mentor programs grow in ALL high poverty areas of #Chicago. My interest was inspired by work of @Valdis who I met in late 2000s, along with several others.

I started building my list of Chicago area volunteer-based #tutor #mentor programs in the 1970s but accelerated this in 1993 when we formed the Tutor/Mentor Connection.

The goal was to help volunteers, parents AND donors find all the programs in Chicago, not just the most visible.

Now I also host list showing accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc. See one at https://tutormentorexchange.net/youth-orgs-linkedin

I've not found many of these on Mastodon or BlueSky.

This quote was part of a #Tutor #Mentor blog article that I wrote on Feb. 26, 2006. It's from the boy/man I first met in 1973 when he was in 4th grade. He said, "You've really been a great inspiration to me. Thank you."

This is one of the reasons I write my blog, to encourage others to build and sustain programs like the one where I met Leo.

Can I please get a résumé review by the HPC (specifically) and other experienced developers here? I am applying for research focused jobs and PhDs in the HPC domain (i understand that it is very wide, but at this stage I am open to whatever opportunities I get).
