Every time I read my email with #mutt it's a reminder of how bad the interfaces for Outlook or the myriad smart phone apps are.
Email is a powerful medium and mechanism for comms and mutt is a perfect companion :)
@knud Ich habe die E-Mail auch bekommen, weil ich noch eine alte Mini-Website bei #HostEurope habe, zu der auch eine IMAP-Mailbox gehört. Als erste Maßnahme habe ich alle E-Mails aus vom IMAP-Server auf meinen Laptop verschoben. Mit #Mutt ist das kein Problem.
Meine wichtigen E-Mails habe ich seit einigen Jahren bei @mailbox_org – das funktioniert auch mit eigenen Domains. Ich nutze da die automatische Verschlüsselung eintreffender E-Mails mit meinem PGP-Schlüssel.
Posteo soll auch OK sein.
J’hésite à passer de Thunderbird à #Neomutt mais je me pose deux questions :
1. Existe-t-il un plugin qui permette, automatiquement quand la pièce jointe est trop lourde, de proposer la transformation de la pièce jointe en lien (notamment sur un serveur Nextcloud) ? C’est une fonctionnalité de Thunderbird dont je me sers très régulièrement.
2. Existe-t-il une distribution de Neomutt préconfigurée facile pour débuter, sur le principe de #Lazyvim , qui m’a aidé à sauter le pas vers #Neovim ?

Other #mutt users - how do you deal with long URLs received? - like in the 'confirm your address' type of mails from companies.
I tend to run mutt under an ssh rather than on my desktop, sometimes piping a mail into w3m or similar and then if I needed a URL locally I'd copy/paste - but now the embedded URLs are *HUGE* - many hundreds of characters.
Ideas?

I’ll keep saying this to educate everyone on here and awareness too. There is no such thing as a merle cane corso, the merle gene does not exist in the cane corso, this pup will have health problems since Merle is a defect because it is clearly bred for profit and it shouldn’t not exist, they only exist because of these clueless numbskulls like her that kept supporting these selfish greedy backyard breeders that are just con artists.
There is absolutely no reason to be breeding merle into a breed that it is not naturally occurring just for the look, such as the Cane Corso, and other breeds such as Bull Terriers, Staffies, French bulldogs, English Bulldog, Dobermanns, Chow Chows or any other breed.
And if anybody out there has bought a dog with a colour and pattern that is not naturallly occurring in that particular breed from a backyard breeder, you have been mugged off and conned. Always do your research and stay away from these breeder backyard breeders. If there these people stop supporting them, than they’ll stop too.

Obecněji:
Proč, hadry cucky, tisíce lidí tvoří interfejsy, 'gui' a prý ještě 'user experience design' (také UX design, UXD, UED nebo XD)... Já si prostě chci nastavit jednou, jak se mi zobrazuje "prostý text", a jednou, jak se mi zobrazuje "html" a ne že každá tzv. "aplikace" mi bude vymýšlet, jak oni to umějí udělat krásněji.
Takže na své cestě k asi nedostižnému ideálnímu pracovnímu prostředí asi mám opustit krátkou zastávku u #thunderbird a jít k nějakému základnějšímu přijímání a čtení mejlů. #mutt ? #emacs ? Ještě tak mít neomezeně sil pro vzdor vůči pohybu stáda směrem, kam nechci jít.
Hledám spřízněné duše. Hledám místa vzdoru.

For that, specifically, I can only recommend: If a mail provider refuses to conform to standard auth protocols, they're a lost cause, ditch that provider.

Preview of #LittlePrince, a TUI #Mastodon client. God know why I chose that name:) Just toots, no boosts, and threads! Not quite like #mutt yet (see 2nd s.shot), but we're going steady. A shame I had to fight with #ORM's just to drop them and do all just with SQLite. More on that soon. #Rich will provide the TUI experience, unless someone suggests something else :)
I'm still working on my setup. The only thing that I'm trying to get working is grabbing the correct from address. Currently it is only working for my main mailbox and I need to configure it for my work too.
I have already replied to a work email from my personal so I have permanently poisoned their mailbox with the wrong email.
If you have a quick solution, it would be VERY helpful.
Does anybody know how to use Doom Emacs and Neomutt to write emails?
Everytime I try to write emails with Emacs and Doom Emacs, it opens in the Fundamental mode, not anything related to emails.
Or, at least, after loading Doom Emacs, load a file called emacs-mutt.el or something with settings to write emails.

The randomness of search is crazy. I accidently replied to a work email from my personal account when using #mutt last night. Tonight I wanted to figure out how to check properly and came across this webpage - https://srobb.net/mutt.html
It is by FAR, the most helpful page I've come across in my mutt journey, and I have been doing a lot over random searches over the last few months. Why I'm just finding this now is known only to the gremlins in the machine.
