I did some experiments measuring propagation delay in a simple chain of 3 digital inverters (NOT gates) (74LS04).
I'm honestly not sure my entry-level scope is fast enough to accurately measure this, but it's fun to try.
It's also interesting to watch the signals completely freak out when you change the input voltage too slowly, but I didn't make a screenshot of that.

www.youtube.comJust realized that while my #siglent SDS 1202x-E 200Mhz #oscilloscope well only goes up to 200-250MHz, the #FFT really reliably goes up to 500 MHz as tested with my hackrf.
I managed to find the X-Y plotting function in my Rigol DA1202. But: the resulting image is smeared across the diagonal. Why? What do I beed to change to get a proper plot?

HackadayI salvaged this from my dad's old stuff. It's a scope he used back in the 90s. I'm pretty sure it's still alive.
It's Aaron BS-625 CRT two channel scope.
In the topic of cheap things out of which I've gotten my money's worth from, this DS201 Pro portable scope. I bought it with zero expectations from eBay long ago.
From what I understand, these thing started their life as a hack firmware to a common MP3 player, turning it into a portable scope. The firmware then found its way into devices that were actually made to be oscilloscopes, such as this one.
I think it cost around $75 or so back in the days, but it has been priceless in arcade repairs over the years, when working with in-situ PCBs in pinball machines.
It's very limited compared to the old HP's CRT scope I also have and it only has a single channel, but as my most common use case is "is anything sensible coming out of that chip" where I can instantly visually determine if we're in business, it's more than adequate.
If your oscilloscope isn’t 100lbs, with 12kV of acceleration potential, and powered by a forced air cooled transmitter tube, what’s even the point?
Behold, the #tektronix 519 1GHz real-time analog #oscilloscope.
Loving these asset tags. Check out the ‘9’ on the stamped one.

Just hooked up an oscilloscope to my HF antenna feed line and it looks like I'm getting a large ~1 MHz signal from the antenna before being filtered in the transceiver to receive 14.074 MHz.
Putting Audio Effects on Text. What a cool experiment to visualize EQ, Panning, Reverb, Phaser, Bitcrush and other #FX using an #oscilloscope to draw letters using sound waves

On peut aussi le faire avec des pédales USB, même pas besoin de bricoler de l'électronique dans ce cas : un simple hub suffit.
